The risks of crashing while driving around Melbourne
This report presents the crash and injury risk outcomes using crash data for the (non-holiday) period for 2000 to 2002 and the estimates of distance travelled calculated from the 2001 exposure survey. Techniques are described and a range of outcomes for all casualty crashes reported. Crash and injury risk estimates were also calculated for five crash types, namely, right near, right through, rear end, loss of control and cross traffic crashes. (a)
