The Impact of E-Commerce on Transport Services
Information technology has had a considerable impact on transportation services. E-commerce has become the norm for ordering, purchasing, invoicing, warehousing, shipping, insurance, customs clearance, distribution, wholesaling and retailing. It is important to bring these services up to the new standard. This requires a sound information system to provide fast and reliable information flow between all parties.
