CRASH HELMETS FOR ROAD USERS

CASQUES DE PROTECTION POUR USAGERS DE LA ROUTE

This standard applies to helmets for motorcyclists and occupants of drop-head coupes, but not to helmets worn during competitions. The aim of the helmet is to reduce the effects of a shock on the head of the wearer in the case of an accident. The tests described aimed at verifying that the helmets fulfil the following: (a) shock absorption of the whole of the helmet under various temperature and moisture conditions; (b) resistance to penetration; (C) rigidity of the crown; (D) resistance of the strap and its Anchorage system; (e) surface to be protected. /TRRL/
