The Development of Security Platform for DSRC-Related Services
Certification trials for DSRC-related services are being conducted at the World Exposition 2005, in Aichi Japan, etc. and a variety of services are already under development. In order to promote the spread and improvements in ETC systems, the Organization for Road System Enhancements (ORSE) engaged in a research and development program to realize security software (hereafter, SPF, for "Security Platform") to ensure security for communications between roadside equipment and vehicles, the communications foundation for DSRC-related services. This SPF is being employed now in certification trials being conducted for an "automatic parking lot fee payment system" near the site of the World Exposition 2005, in Aichi Japan, which is being held now.
