RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE REPAIR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES WITH INDENE-COUMARONIC RESINS

This is translation no LCPC 76 T 29, from Russian into French. At the structural laboratory of the Institute - College of Public Works at Vilnius, a study has been carried out over several years into the possibility of using relatively cheap binders for repair work. These are commercially known as IKAS-3, LKS-1 and are made of a base of indene-coumaron acrylates. The studies have shown that the binders and mixes of this type harden rapidly, adhere well to metal and concrete, have a high mechanical strength, a high resistance to water, ice and wear, and have a good resistance to chemical attack. The experiments carried out on the repair of reinforced concrete structures in precast concrete plants, on structures in the course of construction and in use, have all confirmed the efficiency of the proposed material and the methods of repair of structures. The present specifications have been drawn up on the basis of the results of the laboratory studies and the experiments carried out on site with the collaboration of the school of reinforced concrete structures at vilnius. /TRRL/
