Developing a POI Guidance Agent for In-Vehicle Navigation Systems
This paper proposes a Points of Interest (POI) guidance agent for in-vehicle navigation systems, which integrates agent technology with voice recognition to reduce the user’s operations for finding POI that appears while driving. The agent finds POI according to the possibly ambiguous query spoken by the user. To show its practicality, we also show experimental results of actual searching time using the agent. We also discuss how to improve the agent to further reduce searching time.
