Design Experiments of Detector Locations on Arterial Streets
This paper applies variance analysis to clearly define the category to meet the routine standard operation process of detector installation for the Directorate general of highways, MOTC. Using the concepts of invariant mean speed and invariant variance, hypothesis test of multiple means comparison is proposed with Tukey’s test to evaluate the best detector location. With extensive survey for experimental designs, center area of road segement is the best location for detector installation subjected to the study area.
