Cross Israel Highway Traffic Management System
The Cross Israel Highway (CIH) Traffic Management System (TMS) is an advanced control, surveillance, and information management system that manages traffic on a new 86km smart highway. The TMS has several unique features including integration of electronic tolling, intersection, and highway traffic management functions. This paper will focus on the use of real-time traffic data from the electronic toll system for automatic incident detection, and the development of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) multilingual software user interfaces.
