Confining Reinforcement in Potential Plastic Hinge Regions of Columns: Algerian Code Provisions and Comparisons of Overseas Standards
This paper briefly reviews the Algerian code provisions with regard of confining reinforcement in the potential plastic hinge regions of columns. The paper also discusses and compares with the overseas provisions: A.C.I., N.Z.S., C.E.B. the code provisions concern the volumetric ratio of confining reinforcement and the length of confined region of column.
