LA MARCHE A PIED COMME MOYEN DE DEPLACEMENT. ETUDE EXPLORATOIRE

The first part of the report studies the concept and significance of walking for the town planning engineer responsible for land use and especially street planning. Two methods were employed in the study: (1) analysis of bibliographic data on pedestrian problems, and (2) interviews among town planning engineers and architects, and traffic engineers. Detailed interviews were conducted among different categories of the public. A qualitative analysis of the information collected is presented in the second part of the report. /TRRL/
