Orleans Line 2: A Tramway Named Future
This article illustrates how the Orleans metropolitan area reached a decision in favor of a conventional light rail (rail borne tramway) to its second public transport dedicated right of way. The procedure adopted - competitive dialogue - has enabled city officials to hold a series of in-depth talks with manufacturers and select the system best suited to meeting their strategic development objectives and staggering implementation to soften the project's financial impact.
