The Matisa B50D Tamping and Ballast Regulating Machine for Meccoli, France

A Matisa B50D continuous action tamping and ballast regulating machine for plain track was delivered to Meccoli, France in July 2005. The machine is equipped with the absolute online measuring control and guiding system PALAS and the new guiding computer CATT. The B50D, using its two heavy duty tamping units with 32 tamping tines, can treat two sleepers simultaneously, and features: an energy compartment, fully redesigned, wider and refitted, as compared to previous designs; an ergonomically designed cabin for the operator of the tamping functions, sound proofed and comfortable; and a section housing the synchronized tamping shuttle with independent progression. This absolutely guided high-output B50D machine meets all the requirements of a modern high output multifunctional machine for the renewal and maintenance of both conventional and high speed track.
