THE PARKING ATTENDANT - A FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE IN THE WAR ON TERROR : PART II: AWARENESS AND RESPONSE
This article examines awareness and response strategies for parking attendant personnel charged with defending parking structures from terrorist attack. The article lists activities that should occur under different terrorist threat levels and notes that the level of security intensity will depend on factors such as the geographic location, threat level, and vulnerability of the parking structure. The use of low-cost vehicle barriers in the event of a threat is discussed. Surveillance awareness is emphasized, and guidelines for reporting suspicious behavior are also given.
