ARE YOU GETTING THE MOST OUT OF SMS
This article looks at the use of SMS, also known as text messaging, as an effective communications tool at airports. It relates the advantages that SMS offers, such as affordability, reliability, mobility, and ease of use. The article also notes, however, that the usage of mobile telephones in certain areas of an airport can create risks, such as fire, distraction, and aircraft system interference. Different regulatory situations may thus impose restrictions on the use of SMS at airports.
