Berkeley Highway Laboratory Project : Final Report

This document serves as the final report for a project whose primary objectives have been to operate, maintain, enhance, and conduct research on the Berkeley Highway Laboratory (BHL) detector system. The project focused on five major areas of research: 1) Macroscopic freeway traffic performance measures; 2) Assessment and improvements of detector diagnostics; 3) Installation and testing of new BHL system at the California Center for Innovative Transportation (CCIT); 4) Maintaining and operating the BHL detector system; and, 5) Preliminary design of portable detector diagnostic tool.
