Demonstration of Automated Heavy-duty Vehicles

This report documents the development of experimental buses and trucks and their performance in testing the use of automation technologies. It first describes the host vehicle platforms chosen for automating buses and trucks. The report next describes the hardware and software modifications that were made to the production vehicles in order to give them automated driving capabilities. The performance that was achieved by the automation systems is then described, along with experimental data derived from testing the vehicles.
