COLLECTED ARRB RESEARCH. VOL. 1

The Australian road research board is the focal point of road research in Australia. It regularly undertakes and arranges road and road transport research over A comprehensive range of subjects, including design, location, construction, upkeep and use of roads. All research is controlled from the centre, but some is conducted at universities and elsewhere. 1977/78 overall program is budgeted at $2.8M and expenditure has risen annually. Technical committees provide advice on bituminous surfacings, road pavements, road structures, human factors, local government engineering, traffic engineering and transport planning. This series of volumes is intended to represent an ongoing source reference for all ARRB contributions to road research. Vol. 1 contains full systematic details of projects 1 to 100, a list of non-project papers and reports issued up to Sept. 1977 and A comprehensive index of all ARRB work to September 1977. /TRRL/
