AIR PHOTO-INTERPRETATION FOR SOIL MAPPING

Air photos are valuable aids to the soil surveyor, and research into their application is undertaken by the soil survey in support of its mapping programme. This monograph, based on a staff training course, describes air photos, their properties, and methods for their interpretation. Stereo-pair photos of both lowlands and uplands are given, and suggestions made for their best use.(a) /TRRL/
