The Influence of Compaction Method and Density on the Strength and Modulus of Cementitiously Stabilized Pavement Materials

In situ stabilization of existing pavement materials offers a low cost, environmentally friendly and sustainable means of rehabilitating road pavements in Australia. The paper reviews an investigation into the effect of density and compaction method on stabilized pavement materials, as well as a laboratory testing program. The significance of compaction method and material density were assessed for stabilized pavement materials using unconfined compression and indirect diametrical tensile test methods.
