WRONG-WAY TRAGEDIES : A PERSISTENT FREEWAY PREDICAMENT
This article examines methods for mitigating deaths from wrong way driving onto Texas freeways. Statistics are given on the number of deaths each year resulting from wrong way driving and solutions for lowering the death count are offered. Better signage and maintenance of signage are discussed as ways for increasing safety. The article briefly looks at the design of freeways and suggests that left side freeway exits are best avoided.
