Highway Construction Safety Begins with Good Housekeeping
This article provides a brief overview of steps that have been taken to improve highway construction safety. One step that is often overlooked is the importance of good housekeeping at the construction site. There is often a lack of concern for the amount of construction debris that accumulates at a site. Construction sites are dangerous by nature, and clutter and debris can only worsen the problem. In addition to being potentially hazardous, cluttered work sites also can indicate indolence and a slovenly approach to the project.
