Child Passenger Safety Restraints in School Buses: Update on Regulations and Training
This article briefly reviews the latest National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulations and recommendations that affect the use of child restraint systems in school buses. It also mentions NHTSA's recently developed 8-hour workshop, Child Passenger Safety Training for School Bus, which must be taught by a certified child passenger safety instructor or technician and is offered in partnership with the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services.
