TIRE CONDITION AND DRIVERS' PRACTICE IN MAINTAINING TIRES IN SAUDI ARABIA
This paper quantitatively describes the condition of in-use tires in Saudi Arabia and the drivers' knowledge on issues related to tire selection and maintenance. The following are the main objectives of the paper: determining the percentage of under inflated tires on rural roads; determining the percentage of drivers who know the correct tire pressure for their vehicles; and determinin the percentage of defective tires that are in use along rural roads. The results indicate that drivers need proper education on how to select, use, and maintain tires.
