BATTLE OF THE MIDDLEWEIGHTS
This article details the technical differences and profit projections for Airbuss A380 and Boeings 787, which will roll out in the coming years. Included are a number of tables indicating orders and deliveries for the two companys premier jet aircraft. Additionally, 787 backlog tables, 787 basic specification charts, and A380 basic specification charts dot the layout. Highlights of the article include executive strategies for each companys production cycles and sales plans, with Boeing intending to sell 3,500 units over 20 years. The article examines modifications to existing aircraft in Airbus fleet that create the A380, while even further sections address the 787s start from scratch design and new construction materials. Flight ranges and production efficiencies are compared, as well as value and price.
