TEAMWORK COMPLETES CONCRETE BRIDGES ON BUDGET
A new U.S. Route 9 bridge over Nacote Creek in Port Republic, New Jersey replaced an existing, deteriorated bridge from 1992. The $12 million project expanded the existing 250 foot long structure to 500 feet, increased vertical clearance to 25 feet, and added two additional approach roadways. Because the bridge was located in an environmentally-sensitive area, Wetland mitigation and historical preservation issues had to be addressed.
