MARKET ENTRY OF A LOW COST AIRLINE AND IMPACTS ON THE BRAZILIAN BUSINESS TRAVELERS
This empirical study observed that business travelers of full-blown service carriers (FSCs) and low cost carriers (LCCs) suffer significantly in what relates to the valuation of attributes involved in the service of these two types of airline models. To a level of significance of 5%, the averages of the subsamples of FSC and LCC passengers significantly differ for attributes such as price, in-flight service, mileage programs, and VIP lounges, which are elements of differences between FSCs and LCCs.
