MUSCLE ENHANCER : SLAG CEMENT ADDS STRENGTH AND STAMINA TO CONCRETE PAVEMENTS
Slag cement adds strength and stamina to concrete pavements, this article explains during an extended look at the origins and application of ground granulated blast furnace slag. The author details the chemical reactions that make concrete and how slag enhances the process, and lists correct proportions of slag to concrete as well as setting times. Finishing and placing slag-added Portland cement of concrete and how the processes differ from non-slag applications are also detailed. Slag also changes times for curing concrete as well as sawing the joints. The author specifies equations for changes to curing and sawing. Photos of slag preparation and appearance are included.
