PAIR COMPARING METHOD
The purpose of this report is to develop a statistical method for analyzing matched pair studies, where different matched pairs might be statistically dependent. Another purpose is to find a numerical algorithm that identifies redundant pairs. The report describes a method based graph theory used to find and delete redundant pairs. The pairs define nodes in a graph with edges between pairs that have one common member. Redundancy in the graph is equivalent with the presence of cycles on the graph. Cycles are identified by traversing the graph using a depth-first search method.
