A CORRELATION BETWEEN DYNAMIC CONE PENETROMETER VALUES AND PAVEMENT LAYER MODULI
The goal of this study is to develop an equation to estimate modulus through the dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) testing. The DCP has become a cost saving alternative for characterizing the properties of pavement layers without digging test pits or collecting soil samples. The DCP serves as an excellent tool for construction inspection; it has the ability to verify both the level and uniformity of compaction.
