DORSET COAST RESIGNALLING USING SIMIS W ELECTRONIC INTERLOCKING

Siemens Transportation Systems and Network Rail are working together to introduce new technologies into the UK, commencing with the Dorset Coast Re-signalling Project. Central to the project has been the development of Siemens Electronic Interlocking System, Simis W, to enable it to be used in the UK. This paper and presentation looks at the challenges faced and the solutions employed to make the project a success.
