A VISION FOR LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT: LINKING UP WITH INTELLIGENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS
This article offers a vision of light rail transit (LRT) that appears to avoid the fallacies that have been identified in past vision of the future. It is proposed that, in conjunction with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), LRT also can become a tool for serving lower-density suburbs.
