STRADE: A PACKAGE FOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC ESTIMATION
The STRADE package (System for Traffic Road Analysis by Digital Emulation) is a tool to estimate pollutants emissions due to vehicle traffic on a road network. The traffic volume on each road of the network is estimated by distribution mathematical models. Input data for these models are traffic volume counts collected on the most significanf roads and (if available) an origin-destination matrix. The pollutants emissions are estimated employing the COPERT II methodology. Input data for this methodology are traffic volumes, vehicle speeds and a vehicle fleet distribution. Traffic volumes and speeds data are estimated by the traffic estimation models. The vehicle fleet distribution has to be supplied by the user. For the covering abstract see ITRD E122175.
