PROBLEME DES LAERMSCHUTZES AN SCHIENENBAHNEN

In the German Federal Republic, federal law on protection against hazards states that the maximum tolerance for noise created by rail traffic may exceed the level for road traffic by a certain amount. This article discusses the problems created in connection with maximum noise levels for rail traffic and the possibilities of reducing the effects, taking cost factors into account. It can be seen that the decision to fix limits and compensation rights was made for political reasons.
