TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM MANAGEMENT FROM THE FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION PERSPECTIVE

This paper reviews the history of federal aid to highways as it relates to those improvements that are now considered to be within the scope of transportation system management. Examples are given of current federal programs that provide funds for TSM improvements. /Author/
