MEASURING THE LIFE-CYCLE ENVIRONMENTAL AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE OF CONCRETE: THE BEES APPROACH
This paper presents an overview of the approach taken by the Building for Environmental and Economic Sustainability (BEES) program to address sustainability by measuring the life cycle environmental and economic performance of construction products, specifically of concrete, The BEES approach is explained and its application to alternative concrete products with and without supplementary cementitious materials is illustrated.
