NEIGHBORHOOD STREET DESIGN GUIDELINES
This report is published as a proposed recommended practice of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). The aim of the report is to provide guidance for the overall layout and design of transportation elements in new neighborhood development. These guidelines are applicable to all types of neighborhood and street layout concepts, but may need to be modified to meet special local conditions. Neighborhood street design requires a complete package of complementary design features, as recommended herein.
