DESARROLLO DE VIGAS-CALZADA PARA SISTEMAS DE TRANSITO RAPIDO CON UBICACION ELEVADA. UN INTENTO DES SISTESIS ESTRUCTURAL

Graphs are used to outline the general principles of an optimization process for prestressed beam sections used in urban elevated roads. The problem is two-fold: (1) consideration of mechanical and geometrical parameters such as: natural frequency, deformability, bearing capacity and total weight of the beam, the length to be spanned, curvature, type of wearing course and necessary width; (2) the selection, based on the above parameters, of possible solutions with a posteriori control of the bearing capacity. The graphs enable a rapid assessment of the overall costs of each solution to be calculated. /TRRL/
