The DB's rationalisation measures have also affected the staff training programme (1975 budget: 761 million DM; 1976 budget: 635 million DM), hence the need to define new guidelines. Key areas on which future efforts will be concentrated are: in-service training, restructuring, among others. From the standpoint of quality, emphasis will be placed on staff motivation, greater involvement in productivity schemes, development of a corporate safety and customer-oriented attitude.
