CONCRETE TOLERANCES -- IMPORTANCE AND ACHIEVEMENT IN BUREAU OF RECLAMATION CONSTRUCTION

This paper discusses Bureau of Reclamation concrete tolerance requirements and the many factors, such as design needs, specifications, construction quality control, and supervision that influence whether or not those tolerances are achieved. Admitting that acceptable tolerances are not always achieved, remedial measures are discussed. Illustrations demonstrate the importance of tolerances in concrete construction.
