MIRA: THE MULTIFUNCTION INERTIAL REFERENCE ASSEMBLY
A potential solution to spiraling avionics cost is the development of a Multifunction Inertial Reference Assembly (MIRA). A description is given of the basic concepts of MIRA and the advantages inherent with this approach across the entire life of a system. Preliminary results of several of the technical efforts being accomplished for MIRA are included.
