THE DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF RESOURCE SENSITIVITY MAPS FOR OIL SPILL COUNTERMEASURES

The development and use of resource sensitivity maps are discussed. The maps contain sufficient details of biological resources, current land and water uses, present access and land status, tide-current data, and wind patterns to enhance initial decision-making until more detailed information systems are available on line. The maps cover certain coastal areas of the Province of British Columbia.
