VISCOELASTIC RELAXATION FROM CREEP RESPONSE FOR SOIL-CEMENT BASE COURSE MATERIAL

An attempt has been made to develop a set of comprehensive sequential expressions for obtaining the relaxation response of material properties through the use of creep response tests. For obtaining the relaxation modulus from the experimental creep curves, it was necessary to integrate the Boltzman's integral which can be done numerically. In the iteration Trapezoidal rule has been used. A critical study of selection of time-step has been carried out and a criteria has been suggested for arriving at the optimum time-steps.
