STUDY ON THE FUNCTIONAL CONSTRUCTION IN BRIDGE TEAM. IN: MARINE TECHNOLOGY IV
As vessels grow in size, the human, material, and environmental damage caused by a marine casualty will become more serious. In difficult maneuvering conditions, adequate or even advanced maneuvering is always required by the ship operator. A Bridge Team was constructed with the aim of preventing marine accidents in these difficult navigational conditions. In order to study the functionality of the Bridge Team, the authors ordered the maneuvers into tasks and clarified the needed function to attain each task. This paper analyzes the state of assignment and combination of each function by discussing various ship handling situations with ship handling simulators.
