RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND INTERSECTION ACCIDENTS

While the relationship between new traffic signals and intersection accidents has been widely studied, very little is known about the effect on accidents if traffic signals are removed. This report examines the before and after accident history at five intersections in Terre Haute, Indiana where traffic signals were replaced with stop signs. /Author/
