MARINE AUXILIARY GAS TURBINES

This paper examines the case for utilizing gas turbines for auxiliary drives; reports the conception and development of a radial gas turbine designed as a marine auxiliary prime mover of approximately 2100 h.p.; outlines the types sea-going installation in which this gas turbine has been utilized and reports on service experience and surveys the future likely applications of this type of equipment.
