SYNTHETIC RESIN JOINT STRUCTURES

It is necessary for the edges of joints between road pavements and engineering structures, e.g. Bridges, to withstand the most severe traffic conditions. To ensure the durability and proper functioning of the joints, the joint edges must be reinforced. In this article the advantages and draw-backs of joint structures made of synthetic resins are discussed. Laboratory and full-scale tests with epoxy mortar nosings are described. Some conclusions and recommendations are added. /TRRL/
