The article briefly describes the construction of in-situ concrete safety barrier kerbing using slip-form or extrusion equipment, in New Zealand. Initial problems of surface finish and accuracy were overcome by modifications to the concrete mix design. It is concluded that while there are problems of concrete mix design and equipment operation associated with this form of construction, these problems are outweighed by advantages in construction cost compared with cast in-situ and precast units. /TRRL/
