STAR TRAK HITS THE FAST LANE : A UK INTELLIGENT BUS PRIORITY SCHEME CATCHES THE EYE OF OVERSEAS OPERATORS
This article describes Star Trak, an intelligent bus priority/real time information system in operation in Leicester, U.K. The system uses Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to track vehicles and use the information for determining traffic signal priority, passenger information, and bus fleet management.
