LEE WAY OF LARGE TANKER AT LANDING STAGE

Initially presented are the equations of motion for calculating the drifting response of a large ship under the effect of wind and water currents when entering and leaving a berth. Consideration is given to full-load, half-load, and lightship conditions for different wind direction angles, rudder angles, and ship speeds. Shallow water effects are also discussed. Appropriate families of curves are graphed.
