RAIL SPEEDS OF 500 KM/H IN THE LABORATORY

IM LABOR FAEHRT DIE BAHN MIT TEMPO 500

A testing system has been set up in the Munich repair workshop for conducting experiments on the limits of the wheel-rail technique. Tests carried out with the latest equipment have resulted in speeds of up to 500 km/h. There are plans for expanding the testing system to include experiments with a complete vehicle at very high speeds.
